GP-Centred Care

As a person with statutory health insurance, you are entitled to special GP care. To take advantage of this special primary care, you can voluntarily sign a contract for GP-centred care.
GP-centred care (HZV) is a form of primary care in which the GP serves as the first point of contact, guiding the patient through the entire course of medical care. We make great efforts to help you get prompt specialist appointments. Furthermore, the slightly higher remuneration for general practitioners in the GP-centred care program helps strengthen primary care in your local area.

We kindly ask you to sign such a GP-centred care contract with us.

Your Benefits at a Glance:

  • We are your partner when it comes to your health – we will examine and consult you so that your health risks can be assessed in a personalised and comprehensive manner. If necessary, we will refer you to other specialists or therapists and coordinate your treatment. This ensures that you receive suitable and well-coordinated medication.
  • We have less bureaucracy and more time for you as a patient.
  • We offer you more service – e.g. shorter waiting times during consultation hours and, if necessary, help with arranging a specialist appointment. This ensures prompt care, including special examinations.
  • We always deliver care in line with current medical standards – this is ensured by high-level continuing education programs specifically designed for general practitioners, which are mandatory for doctors in the GP-centred care program.
  • We offer high-quality practice equipment – by participating in the GP-centred care program, we commit ourselves to providing a range of modern medical devices.
  • In this way, we stay local and close by – GP-centred care contracts guarantee a predictable long-term income for your general practitioner and help to make the general practice economically viable. This also helps your doctor to find a successor when he or she retires.

Disadvantages: None

Your participation in this GP-centred care contract is free of charge.

Your participation in this GP-centred care contract is free of charge.

You have the freedom to choose any doctor in our practice: Although you select your GP contractually for at least one year, it is possible to change your GP at any time in emergencies or if the doctor–patient relationship breaks down.

It is important that you always contact us – your GP – first (except in emergencies) and do not go directly to another doctor without a referral. If you have a referral, you can continue to visit the specialist of your choice.

Gynaecologists and eye doctors can be consulted directly without the need for a referral.
